SIDNEY [ ABN NEWS ] — The Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, Mr. Alain St.Ange, and his delegation left Seychelles on Thursday, August 22 en route to the 20th UNWTO General Assembly meeting which is this year taking place at the falls of Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Seychelles Minister is being accompanied by Ms. Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the island`s Tourism Board; Mrs. Anne Lafortune, the P.S. for Tourism; Mrs. Elsia Grandcourt, the former CEO of the Tourism Board; Mr. David Germain, the Seychelles Tourism Board`s Director for Africa and the Americas; and Ms. Jenifer Sinon, the Seychelles Tourism Board`s Director of Administration and HR.
This General Assembly meeting will also see the elections for the new Executive Council of the UNWTO. Seychelles, represented by Alain St.Ange, the island`s Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, has been nominated as a candidate for a seat on the 2013 Executive Council. Minister St.Ange said as he left Seychelles that he was intending to address the Tourism Ministerial Roundtable meeting and the General Assembly meeting itself.
